Prepare your heart for our Sunday Morning Gathering by looking through these suggestions that will assist you in making the most of our time together.

You will find tangible suggestions for putting scripture to action in your personal life and in our corporate body, links to the songs we will sing, and lyrics for you to prepare for our corporate singing.

Please see the Preparing for the Sermon post for suggestions in thinking more critically through the passage, meditating more intently on the text, and prayerfully seeking wisdom to deepen your understanding of the passage to be preached this Sunday.

Intentionally Act

• Seek to trust God's word as accurate and true, especially when supernatural events are found.  Examine your heart and see if you truly believe an account like this really happened and the impacts that it had on our physical world and also the impacts it has on our spiritual world.  
• How does the fulfilment of God's judgement of the entire world that happened in Genesis 6 impact your heart, mind and actions today?  Meditate on the promise of our returning Messiah as judge and seek to live each day in light of his return, not as the people of Noah's day who didn't believe.  
• Seek to live continually in loving obedience to God, especially within the church body, the means by which God has designed for his children to live together daily: encouraging, exhorting, reading Scripture, praying, singing and submissively serving.  
• Pray for the promised judgements of God to motivate us to repentance and restoration of relationships now, not later.  If your heart is not right with a brother or sister because of an offense, put down your offering and go to your brother or sister now, forgiving one another as God in Christ has forgiven you.
