  • What is being recognized about Jesus when he is seen as the Lamb in verse 12?
  • What are the blessings the Lamb is said to be worthy of in verse 12? What do these terms mean?
  • Where is praise from verse 12 and 13 directed?
  • What are the divine attributes of The Lamb in verse 12? Any similarities or differences to verse 13?

Prayerfully Meditate

  • What was the elder’s response? What are the implications of this response to Christ for those who believe? List several.
  • What posture did they have? What is the significance of this?
  • Why does Jesus deserve all this worship? Provide specific examples.
  • Read Psalm 148. How does this description of praise inform the way you understand Revelation 5:11-14? How does it direct you toward awe and reverence of Jesus?
  • How does this passage give you confidence and battle fear, anxiety, doubt, or worry?
