  • What adverbials are emphasized in 1 Thess. 2:11?
  • What was the end goal of the authors’ godly conduct? (2:12)

Prayerfully Meditate

  • Why did Paul seek to What was the larger purpose of the work? (v2:9b)
  • Why would the authors mention God in 2:10? What does that add to the section? (see 2:5)
  • Why would the authors include familial language in 2:11? (see also 2:7)
  • Note the present tense of the verb “calls’ in v12. How does this tense impact meaning?
  • Why would the authors mention the kingdom and glory of God in 2:12?
