Prepare your heart for our Sunday Morning Gathering by looking through these suggestions that will assist you in making the most of our time together.
You will find tangible suggestions for putting scripture to action in your personal life and in our corporate body, links to the songs we will sing, and lyrics for you to prepare for our corporate singing.
Please see the Preparing for the Sermon post for suggestions in thinking more critically through the passage, meditating more intently on the text, and prayerfully seeking wisdom to deepen your understanding of the passage to be preached this Sunday.
Intentionally Act
- Contemplate where your heart is for sharing the gospel, not through material means, but by the primary means of the words of Scripture, telling of God, sin, repentance, a promised Messiah who lived, died, and rose again to give new life to those who would repent and believe?
- Pray that your heart would be primarily focused on making disciples of Christ through His means and instructions and not in our own wisdom and methodology.
- Pray that our church would continue to be focused on making disciples and teaching them all the commandments of God so that we might become imitators of Paul and more like Christ and be holy like God is holy.
- Pray for and look for opportunities to share the gospel with the lost, whether stranger, family, friend, co-worker, neighbor, a visitor to our church, in our homes, or in a foreign land. Pray that our church would have a vigorous desire to make disciples and support those who make disciples with all of our resources.
