Intentionally Act
- Read the passage for the sermon again, 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22.
- Pray for God to examine your heart for any way that would cause us to distrust God and be lured to do evil over doing the good works that God has prepared for us before the foundation of the world.
- As these commands are for the body of Christ, the church, look to love one-another sacrificially in great long-suffering by admonishing, encouraging, and helping one-another in these commands.
- How should this shape how you pray and hear God's Word as it is preached? Do you hear with an intention to grow in what you know and be shaped by the truth of the Word of God?
