Think carefully
- Read Isaiah 55 and skim Chapters 1, 5 and 6.
- What is the key issue facing the southern kingdom of Judah?
- What is God’s desire for the people of Judah?
- How are they to respond to the prophet Isaiah’s message?
- How does Isaiah’s message to Judah compare to the message of the NT apostles?
- What are the key elements of 55:6-7?
Prayerfully meditate
- How can our hearts resemble the hearts of the people of Judah?
- What do I value most in my life?
- How do I seek after God?
Intentionally Act
- Contemplate your heart attitude towards God during Sunday worship; during each day of the week.
- Pray for non-Christians who will be present this Sunday to respond appropriately to God’s word.
- How should Judah’s plight impact our congregation as a whole? Pray that God will prepare our hearts for his work of grace this Sunday as we gather.
- Pray for that those who lead our gathering will edify the congregation well: Dawson Bryant, music; Brett Harris, Corporate Prayer and Scripture Reading; Mark Krystyniak, teaching.
- Meditate on the lyrics to the songs we will sing on Sunday to prepare yourself in joining with the congregation.
