Elder's Prayer

Please find below the notes from the Elder's Prayer this past Sunday.

Lord, we praise and thank you that as your children, whom you have adopted by your good pleasure, we have a secure dwelling place in you.  You are our safe and secure shelter.  Your shadow of protection covers us and gives us assurance of your kindness and loving care for us.  We can abide, we can live in this assurance and protection.

You are our refuge and fortress; we can run to you for help with confidence that you will never turn us away. May our trust be in you at all times and in every need, for you are our God.

You deliver us from those that would try to trap us and lead us away from you, you protect us from the schemes of the evil one. We know that you are the Lord of any pestilence and are in complete, sovereign control.

Under your wings we find refuge, protection, care, kindness and love.  Help us to daily be mindful of and confident of this sure reality.

We also praise you because you are faithful, even when we are not.  And because you are faithful, we can rest in your guarantee that we will have a place with you in eternity.

In Jesus’ name we pray….
