Elder's Prayer

Please find below the notes from the Elder's Prayer this past Sunday.

Father, we give thanks this morning that once again we are privileged to witness the baptism of one of your beloved.

In doing so, we are reminded of your goodness and lovingkindness.

We are reminded that when we were foolish, afflicted by our iniquities, you saved us.

You demonstrate your lovingkindness by redeeming each of us who call on you by saving us from the hand of our adversary.

When we cried out to you, you saved us from our distresses.

You sent your word and healed and delivered us from our destructions.

You guide us through all the challenges of life and promise to bring each of us safely home to an eternal rest in you.

We give thanks and praise you this morning for your lovingkindness and the wonders you have already shown us and for those that are yet to come.

It is in Christ’s name that we pray - Amen.
