Elder's Prayer

Majestic Heavenly Father,

As part of all of your wondrous works, we praise you and declare your praise. We proclaim your goodness, kindness, your mercy, love, long suffering, your majestic holiness, your otherness from all your creation.

You alone are worthy of all of our worship. Your name alone is worthy to be lifted up in praises.

You are eternal and you always existed as the one and only true Holy Triune God. There is nothing that is hidden from you. All things are possible with you. You are the Alpha and the Omega. You are the first and the eternal. When all things created come and go, you still remain.

Your very being is incomprehensible to our finite minds.

Creator and sustainer of life, in you, we live, and move and have our very being (Acts 17:28).

Our God created the vast endless Seas of the earth, their unfathomable depths, and the teeming life in them is far beyond our comprehension.

The miles and miles of farmlands, green hill tops, snowcapped glistening mountain tops, the tallest mountains that seem to touch and peak into the heavens.

Yet, you are greater than all of them put-together. There is no comparison to our Sovereign God who is seated on the throne.

We praise you, magnify you, adore you, exalt and extol your name for that.

We praise you because for all that we see, understand, and enjoy there are untold amounts of works that we do not see and can never comprehend.

You have graciously and providentially hidden a lot of things from us because our simple minds will forever remain finite. (Deuteronomy 29:29)

Without you, we can do nothing. Oh, how we foolishly forget that sometimes. Please forgive us.

O, Great God, we are not looking up to the mountains or to the hills. We are only looking up to you the maker of heaven and earth and all that in them.

We are not putting our trust in men, who are here today and gone tomorrow. But we are putting our trust in YAWEH, the everlasting God and His only begotten Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, empowered and indwelt by your Holy Spirit.

We are underserving for this gift of faith to become your adopted children. We thank you for your grace and mercy.

Be glorified through us. We pray this in the name of your Son, whose blood bought people we are, Amen.
