Elder's Prayer

Please find below the notes from the Elder's Prayer this past Sunday.

From Psalm 145

1 ...I will kneel in praise to You, my God, O King,
And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
2 Every day I will bless You,
And I will praise Your name forever and ever.
3 Your ways and your greatness cannot be completely understood.
5 We will meditate on the glorious splendor of your majesty
And on Your wonderful works.
6 We will speak of the power of Your awesome acts,
And we will tell of Your greatness.
7 We will eagerly speak of our memory of Your abundant goodness
And we will shout joyfully of Your righteousness.
8 LORD, you are gracious and merciful;
Slow to anger and great in lovingkindness.
9 LORD, you are good to all,
And your mercies are over all His works.
10 All Your works will give thanks to You, O LORD,
And Your chosen ones will bless You.
11 We will speak of the glory of Your kingdom
And we will talk of Your power;
12 We will make known to the world around us Your mighty acts
And the glory of the majesty of Your kingdom.
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And Your dominion endures forever.
14 LORD, you sustain all who fall, all who stumble, all who momentarily fail in faith and obedience to you,
And you raise up all who are bowed down.
15 We look to You,
And You give us our food in due time.
16 You open Your hand
And satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 For LORD, you are righteous in all your ways
And you are kind in all your deeds.
18 LORD, you are near to all who call upon your name,
To all who call upon you in truth.
19 You will fulfill the desire of those who fear you;
You will also hear our cry and you will save us.
20 LORD, you keep all who love you,
But all the wicked you will destroy.
21 Our mouths will speak your praise.
And all flesh will bless your holy name forever and ever.
