Elder's Prayer

Please find below the notes from the Elder's Prayer this past Sunday.

Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory! (Isaiah 6:3)

Blessed be your glorious name forever, O LORD, and may the whole earth be filled with your glory (Psalm 72:19)

Who is this King of glory? The Lord of Hosts, He is the King of glory (Psalm 24:10)

O Lord our Lord how majestic is your name in all the earth. (Psalm 8:1)

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and in the earth; Yours is the dominion, O LORD, and You exalt Yourself as head overall. (1 Chronicles 29:11)

LORD, we praise you that, You reign. You are clothed with majesty. You, O LORD have clothed and girded Yourself with strength; (Psalm 93:1)

We bless your holy name LORD our God, for you are simply very great; You are clothed with splendor and majesty (Psalm 104:1)

Please help us to meditate on your wonderful works (Psalm 145:5).

Holy of Holies, the One who cannot stand sin, One who called us to be holy as You are holy:

I pray for each member and visitor of Summit Woods Baptist Church. Please help us to be holy.

When it’s our time to come into your presence, may we hear you say, “Well done, faithful servant. Enter into your Father’s presence”.

We beg you with all that we are, may we not hear you say, “I don’t know you”

Please help us to be men and women who are humble, contrite in Spirit and the ones who tremble at your word. (Isaiah 66:2)

Please help us to love the Lord with all of our hearts, and with all of soul and with all of our might (Deuteronomy 6:5).

Please help us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves (Matthew 22:37-40; Mark 12:29-31).

Please help us to flee from false teachers and cling to the LORD our God.

Please help us to fix our eyes upon whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and of anything worthy of praise, please help us to dwell on these things (Philippians 4:8).

Please help us to be disciplined like Apostle Paul was to remain qualified (1 Corinthians 9:27).

Please help us to imitate Christ and be imitable. (1 Corinthians 11:1)

Please help us to endure till the end above reproach by your grace through the sanctifying ministry of the indwelling Holy Spirit.

Your word is a lamp unto our feet; and a light unto our path (Psalm 119:105)

Please help us to be grounded and deeply rooted in the Scriptures bearing fruit in every season for your glory (Colossians 2:7; Psalm 1).

We thank you for your great love with which you loved us in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:4).

We pray this in the name of our Lord and Savior, who is interceding for us from your right hand, Amen.
