Elder's Prayer

Please find below the notes from the Elder's Prayer this past Sunday.

God of all wonders,

We rejoice in the fact that you are worthy of our praise. We call upon you.

Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created. Revelation 4:11

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable. Psalm 145:3

Our LORD is to be feared above all gods. Psalm 96:4

Yet such as awesome, full of worth and full of life - God, came in search of these unworthy dead beings.

We praise you for that. We thank you for being rich in mercy. We thank you for your great love with which you loved us (Ephesians 2:4). Please help us, to the extent that we could, to understand the magnitude of your love.

Thank you for the provision to be born again in Christ Jesus who is the propitiation for our sins, transgressions and iniquities.

We praise you that Christ’s blood will never lose its power in all of eternity. We thank you for the undeserved privilege of being covered by the blood of the Lamb.

We praise you for demonstrating your righteousness through it all (Romans 3:25).

Thank you for your grace. Thank you for the gift of faith. We boast in you that we are your workmanship. Thank you for creating us in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:10).

We surrender our body, spirit and soul at your feet. We are yours and yours alone.

Please be glorified as you continue your work in us, both to will and to work your good pleasure (Philippians 2:13).

We beseech you in the more excellent name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
