Elder's Prayer

Please find below the notes from the Elder's Prayer this past Sunday.

Father of all glory, our soul exalts the Lord, and our spirit continues to rejoice in God our Savior. Thank you for regarding the humble state of your bondslaves. We bless your name.

Thank you, Mighty One of Israel. You have done great things for us. We praise you for holy is your name.

We thank you for the unceasing mercies upon generation after generation toward those who fear your name.

We praise you for your mighty arm that has accomplished mighty things for your anointed.

We thank you for scattering those who are proud in the thoughts of their heart and bringing down rulers from their thrones.

We praise you that your name is glorified as you exalt the humble and fill the hungry with good things even as you send the rich away empty-handed.

We thank you for the help you have given to your servants in remembrance of your abundance mercies.

Blessed be the Lord God. Thank you for visiting us and accomplishing redemption for your people.

Thank you Lord for raising a horn of salvation for us in the house of the house of David your servant.

Thank you Father for rescuing us from the hand of our enemies that we might serve you without fear in holiness and righteousness before you all our days.

Father God, just like John the Baptist prepared the way of the Lord for His earthly ministry, please help us to prepare the way for Christ’s second coming by standing firm in our faith, by being faithful gospel witnesses in proclaiming the message of salvation and being renewed in our minds.

We thank you for the knowledge of salvation and the forgiveness of our sins.

We praise you for the tender mercies of God with which the Sunrise from on high had visited us – those who sat in darkness and the shadow of death have now seen the light.

Please continue to guide our feet in the way of peace, O Emmau-el. In your name we pray, Amen.
