Elder's Prayer

Please find below the notes from the Elder's Prayer this past Sunday.

Read and pray through a Psalm of Thanksgiving
Psalm 95:1-6

1 Come, let's sing for joy to the LORD, Let's shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.

2 Let's come before His presence with a song of thanksgiving, Let's shout joyfully to Him in songs [with instruments.]

3 For the LORD is a great God And a great King above all gods,

4 In whose hand are the depths of the earth, The peaks of the mountains are also His.

5 The sea is His, for it was He who made it, And His hands formed the dry land.

6 Come, let's worship and bow down, Let's kneel before the LORD our Maker.

Please pray with me:

Lord, we come now to thank you for what you have done for us

We thank you for who you are

We thank you that we can make a joyful noise...that you have provided this joy in our hearts through the work of your son on the cross

Lord, let us always come into your presence with thanksgiving and songs of worship

For, as your word says, and we have experienced in our lives, you are great, you are the great king above all gods and all kings

Your wisdom and knowledge of us is immeasurable. You know the depths of the seas and the heights of the mountains, as you have created them with your own hands.

Lord, let us now come before you and worship you with sincere hearts and bow down before you in humility as you are our Lord and our Maker.

We pray this in the name of the Lamb of God, Jesus the Christ.
