Frequently Asked Questions

Who should come to the Weekender Conference?

This Weekender Conference is primarily for church leaders and leadership teams. We strongly recommend bringing a staff or elder/deacon group with you to leverage the conference for fueling leadership team conversations. The Weekender would be a great conference for your elder or staff retreat in the coming year. This would also be a helpful training opportunity to include in an internship or residency program to leverage for developing future church leaders. Seminary and Bible College students are encouraged to attend (we even offer a discounted rate).

While the conference is geared toward church leaders specifically, any church member would benefit from the session topics. Men and women are both welcome to attend.

Are there housing options available?

Yes! In 2026 we hope to offer some limited housing spots in the homes of various members of Summit Woods Baptist Church. If you are interested in housing, please indicate on your registration and/or reach out to campbell@swbcls.org. These spots are limited and first come first serve.

Are meals included?

Yes, all meals are included in your ticked price from brunch Friday at checking through Dinner Sunday evening except Breakfast Sunday morning.

What about the book table?

Yes, the SWBC Weekender introduced a book table in 2025. We plan to have books that come strongly recommended for church life and ministry available for purchase at discounted rates.

How much does the Weekender cost?

The Weekender costs $150 for regular attendees and $75 for active students at our early bird rate through February 28th.
After February 28th the regular attendee price goes up to $175 and it is $100 for active students.

Do I have to be a church leader to attend?

Not at all! We would gladly welcome any church member to attend the conference to learn more about what makes up a healthy church and how to be a healthy member.

When does registration close?

Early Bird registration closes February 28th, and regular registration closes March 21 or once maximum capacity is reached.

Is there an early bird discount?

Yes there is a $25 dollar early bird discount. Tickets cost $150 for regular attendees and $75 for students until February 28th. After February 28th the ticket prices rise to $175 and $100 respectively.

How can I sponsor the Weekender Conference?

We are so grateful you would be interested in sponsoring the SWBC Weekender Conference! Please reach out to campbell@swbcls.org for a list of our sponsorship package offerings.

What is 9Marks?

9Marks is our primary partner ministry for the Weekender Conference. 9Marks exists to help pastors, future pastors, and church members build healthy churches. They create resources and host training events (like this Weekender Conference). The nine marks of a healthy church referenced include: expositional preaching, gospel doctrine, conversion and evangelism, church membership, church discipline, discipleship and growth, church leadership, prayer, and missions. These will be many of the topics in discussion at our SWBC Weekender. To learn more head to 9marks.org.

What if I have food allergies?

If you have any food allergies, please indicate on your registration form and we will do our best to make accommodations.

What does my ticket price include?

Your ticket gets you into the conference sessions, includes meals Friday morning through Sunday evening (excluding Sunday breakfast), a Weekender binder, SWBC reference materials, gift bag, book table discounts, and entry into giveaways throughout the weekend.
