Your Word Remains

Based on Psalm 19 -- God has revealed himself through creation and by His Word. It is through these means God has made himself known, and they inform our worship of Him. We exalt Him based on the whole of His creation, worship Him according to His sufficient and gracious Revelation, the Bible, and tell of His wondrous works in creation and the Word to all peoples who are in dersperate need of Him.

Highest heavens tell His glory
Their expanse is in His hand
Day and night are testifying
So that we would understand
He is high above creation
Life and death He thus ordains
There is nothing hidden from Him
Every creature He sustains

We exalt Your name
As we spread Your fame
Never will Your word be tamed
Through our loss and gain
Through our joy and pain
Evermore Your word remains

Every word that He has spoken
Every just command He gives
Every judgment He has rendered
Serves as food for souls that live
For the weary, restoration
For the simple, wisdom true
For the downcast, exaltation
Every broken realm renewed

Sweeter than the choicest honey
Finer than the purest gold
Is His written revelation
There His glory we behold
He discerns our deepest deviance
He dispels our darkest night
May this humble meditation
Be delightful in His sight
