- Read 2 Thessalonians 2
- Why might the Thessalonians have forgotten the message/teaching he previously spoke to them when he was with them? What things distract you from the truth?
- What keeps you from trusting the teaching of the scripture?
- What types of dectption are prevelent in the false teaching today? How have you seen yourself or others led astray into such teaching?
- Are you prone to believe lies and conspiricies? How would you know if you were? Who and what can you surround yourself with to protect you from falling into belief of falsehood?
- How do you see false teaching leading to anxiety and worry in our culture? Among believers?
- How can you pray in light of this passage? Who do you know that has drifted into apostasy? Pray in light of Jude 24 that God would keep you and others in our church from stumbling in sin and the deception of false teaching.
- What is the value in remembering right teaching that is apparent in these verses? What does this inform us about the need for consistent teaching of the truth?
