Please see the Preparing for the Sermon post for suggestions in thinking more critically through the passage, meditating more intently on the text, and prayerfully seeking wisdom to deepen your understanding of the passage to be preached this Sunday.

Intentionally Act

  • Read Romans 11:33-36 again.
  • Identify any variance between your view of God and what is stated about Him in this passage.
  • Reflect on how one should prepare and plan for the future in light of this passage?
  • What areas of life do you live as though God is not trustworthy? Confess these to God and repent of areas of unbelief. In what areas of life can this passage help you trust the Lord?
  • How does this passage answer common cultural objections to who God is and how he operates?  How could you specifically use this passage to answer objections you’ve personally heard from someone close to you?
  • Make plans to use this passage in your gospel witness to specific unbelievers around you.
  • Click the links below to find the lyrics and recordings of the songs planned for our gathering this Sunday; practice the songs, study the lyrics and sing together.
  • Pray for those leading our corporate gathering this week and for the Holy Spirit’s work as the Word of God is further explained and applied: Dawson Bryant: music; Terry Engling: Elders' prayer & scripture reading; Bret Capranica: teaching.
