Prepare your heart for our Sunday Morning Gathering by looking through these suggestions that will assist you in making the most of our time together.

You will find tangible suggestions for putting scripture to action in your personal life and in our corporate body, links to the songs we will sing, and lyrics for you to prepare for our corporate singing.

This week during the morning worship hour we will be concluding the 128 marriage and family conference with a message by Jerry Wragg (Short speaker bio below). This message is titled “The Church and the Family” and will be drawn from selected scriptures. It will be a benefit to the entire church body, not just those who attended the conference, as each of us have family relationships and belong to a church. Hearing what God’s Word has to say about these topics is important for each of us as we seek to glorify God with every aspect of our lives.

The following is a short speaker bio, some ways to pray for our gathering and specifically for families at SWBC.

Jerry Wragg has served as Senior Pastor at Grace Immanuel Bible Church in Jupiter, Florida, since 2001. Prior to his ministry in Florida, Jerry served for many years as Sr. Associate Pastor and Personal Assistant to Dr. John MacArthur at Grace Community Church, Sun Valley, CA. He serves as President and a faculty member of The Expositors Seminary in Jupiter and is a graduate of The Master’s Seminary. In addition to various articles and essays, Jerry is the author of Courageous Churchmen and co-author of Free to Be Holy. He and his wife, Louise, have been married 40 years. They have four grown children and eight grandchildren. Jerry’s greatest joy is watching the flock become mature followers of Jesus Christ as His truth is brought to bear upon their hearts.

• Pray for strengthened marriages that reflect the relationship between Christ and the church.
• Pray for husbands to love their wives and to lead their families with patience.
• Pray for wives to honor and submit to their husbands and to raise their children in godliness.
• Pray for children to honor and obey their parents.
• Pray for singles, that they would be undistracted in their devotion to Christ and unwavering in their trust in God and His perfect goodness for their future.
• Pray for grandparents to exemplify Christ like character and wisdom as they encourage their children and grandchildren. 
• Pray for our conference speakers to have clarity and conviction as they open the scriptures during their messages.
• Pray that SWBC would receive the preached word in humility and submission as we seek to glorify God as a congregation.
