Critically Think
- Read Revelation 22:6-9.
- Read Revelation 19:11 and 21:5. How has the phrase “faithful and true” been used in Revelation, and how is it used in this passage?
- What title is used to describe God in v. 6?
- Read Revelation 1:3, 3:3, 3:11, 16:15, 22:12, and 22:20. Who is coming quickly? Who is the “I” in v. 7?
- What was John’s response to what he heard and saw?
Prayerfully Meditate
- Read Revelation 1:1-3. How does Revelation 22:6-9 mirror Revelation 1:1-3? List the similarities and differences you see.
- Read Revelation 19:9-10. How does Revelation 22:6-9 mirror Revelation 19:9-10? List the similarities and differences you see.
- What does the “behold” in v. 7 tell us about the importance of this coming?
- “Blessed” is used throughout Revelation: 1:3, 14:13, 16:15, 19:9, 20:6, 22:7, and 22:14. What are some of the attributes of those who are blessed?
Intentionally Act
- How should the reality that “these words are faithful and true” affect you as you read Revelation?
- Are you heeding the words of Revelation? How are you living considering eternity?
- How are you preparing for Christ’s coming now?
