Book of Revelation Sermon Title 1
Prepare your heart for our Sunday Morning Gathering by looking through these suggestions that will assist you in making the most of our time together.

You will find tangible suggestions for putting scripture to action in your personal life and in our corporate body, links to the songs we will sing, and lyrics for you to prepare for our corporate singing.

Critically Think

  • Read Revelation 22:10-15.
  • Who is the speaker in this passage? Who are they quoting?
  • In verse 10 it says the time is near, what other temporal references can you find in this chapter and the chapter before?
  • What is the book described in verse 10?
  • In your own words, summarize the groups described in verse 11.
  • “I am the Alpha and the Omega” is used four times in Revelation, what are the verse references?

Prayerfully Meditate

  • What is the reward described in verse 12? Where in Revelation would you go to find an answer?
  • What is associated with washing ones robes? What does the fact that the individuals in verse 14 have access to the tree of life and to the city tell you about their identity?
  • Make a list of the types of people inside and outside the city. Using your list of those found outside, compare and contrast, with the lists found in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and Galatians 5:19-21.

Intentionally Act

  • How should a statement like “Behold, I am coming quickly” change the way you live your day to day life?
  • What comfort can a you derive from God declaring himself to be the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last?
  • Summarize the passage in 21 words or less.
  • Click the links below to find the lyrics and recordings of the songs planned for our gathering this Sunday; learn the songs, study the lyrics and sing them with others.
  • Pray for those leading our corporate gathering this week and for the Holy Spirit’s work as the Word of God is further explained and applied: Dawson Bryant: music; Mark Krystyniak: elder prayer & scripture reading; Bret Capranica: teaching.
