Critically Think

• Look back at Revelation 21:1-5. What has God just accomplished?
• Read Revelation 21:6-9. What promises does God make for believers in this passage?
• What titles are used for God in this passage?
• John speaks of those who overcome not just in Revelation, but in 1 John. Read 1 John 2:13-14, 4:4, and 5:4-5. Who are those who overcome? What have they overcome?
• Read 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 and Galatians 5:19-21. From these verses and this passage in Revelation, what are some of the sins that define those who end up in the lake of fire?

Prayerfully Meditate

• Why is it important that God is the beginning and the end? What do these titles tell us about how He relates to Creation?
• What will believers inherit in v. 7? Why should we look forward to this inheritance?
• Read John 4:7-14. What does Jesus tell us there about living water? Why should we desire the water of life?

Intentionally Act

• What response is stired in your heart at the truth that God making all things new?
• How can we find comfort in the fact that we are God’s children?
• How does this description of God’s judgment affect your interactions with unbelievers?
• Why should you be interested in what God promised here in Revelation if it hasn’t happened yet? How do these truths affect your life?
