Critically Think

• Read Revelation 21:10-21.
• What did the angel carry John away to show him?
• How is the city described in Revelation 21:11?
• How is the wall of the city described in verse in verse 11-14?
• What is the shape of the city as described in the text in verse 16?
• What is the city made out of as described in vs. 18 and the streets in vs 21?
• What is the foundations to the city wall adorned with in verses 19-20?

Prayerfully Meditate

• What encouragement should thinking about our future home as described in Revelation 21:10-21 bring us in your current circumstances?
• What encouragement can we draw meditating on how God will make all things new?
• What thoughts of affection come to mind thinking about how we will dwell in the presence of God?

Intentionally Act

• Summarize this passage in 21 words or less.
• What anxious thoughts are you dealing with right now in your current circumstances? How can you replace those thoughts with thoughts of thanksgiving about the New Jerusalem?
• What can you praise God for today thinking through our passage about the New Jerusalem?
• How should dwelling on your future heavenly citizenship impact your daily decisions?
• Pray in light of this passage praising God for the exclusivity of Jesus’ sacrifice trusting in him as the sole way for salvation.
