Book of Revelation Sermon Title 1
Prepare your heart for our Sunday Morning Gathering by looking through these suggestions that will assist you in making the most of our time together.

You will find tangible suggestions for putting scripture to action in your personal life and in our corporate body, links to the songs we will sing, and lyrics for you to prepare for our corporate singing.

Critically Think

  • Read Revelation 19:11-16.  Who is “He”, the rider on the white horse? Also see 19:19.
  • What names is the rider known by in this passage?
  • How is the rider described? Where is He located?
  • What are the rider’s weapons and what does He use them for?
  • Who else is present during this account? What are they doing?
  • Whose wrath is being dispensed?

Prayerfully Meditate

  • Why do you think the rider is referred to by different names in this passage?
  • Referring to vs. 11, how can war be declared in righteousness?
  • How are this rider and the armies following Him different than any of the rulers and armies the world has previously seen?
  • Why will the nations be judged if Babylon was already destroyed? See 14:9-11; 17:1-2; and 18:1-3.

Intentionally Act

  • How can this passage elicit confidence in following Christ, specifically in the midst of the corruption in the world around you?
  •  What is the significance of the rider’s name given in vs. 16, considering the context of Revelation so far?
  • How does this passage inspire praise of the Lord? How can this be expressed in your daily life?
  • How can this passage be used in your witness of the gospel to an unbeliever?
  • Click the links below to find the lyrics and recordings of the songs planned for our gathering this Sunday; learn the songs, study the lyrics and sing them with others.
