Critically Think

• Read Psalm 19:7-9. List the different titles David uses (law, testimony, etc.) and the descriptions David has for each of them. 
• What analogies does David use to describe God’s judgments? 
• What benefit does David see in God’s judgments in v. 11? 
• List the requests David makes to God in v. 12-14. 
• What titles does David use to describe God at the end of the Psalm? 

Prayerfully Meditate

• How would you summarize David’s view of God’s Word according to Psalm 19? 
• Read Psalm 111:10, Proverbs 1:7, Proverbs 8:13. What is the fear of the LORD? How is it related to the Word of God, such as his precepts and law? 
• Why is it important for saved believers to pursue blamelessness and innocence like David does?  
• How do David’s statements about the Scriptures in this Psalm relate to the sufficiency of Scripture?  

Intentionally Act

• Does your heart respond to God’s Word in the way David’s heart responds it? What changes can you make in your life to rightly prioritize God’s Word? 
• What hidden faults and presumptuous sins do you see in your life that need to be repented of?
