Prepare your heart for our Sunday Morning Gathering by looking through these suggestions that will assist you in making the most of our time together.

You will find tangible suggestions for putting scripture to action in your personal life and in our corporate body, links to the songs we will sing, and lyrics for you to prepare for our corporate singing.

Critically Think

  • Read Psalm 126.
  • Who did the Lord return?
  • What is Zion a reference to?
  • What was the response of those returned?
  • What was said among the nations?
  • What is the request of vs. 4?
  • What are the parallels between vs. 5 and vs. 6?

Prayerfully Meditate

  • Trace though the scriptures times that God restored His people.
  • When in the future will the people of God be restored to Zion?
  • How does the saving work of God reverberate to the glory of God in this passage?

Intentionally Act

  • Write a list of observations of what this passage teaches you about God. Pray thanking God for the things on your list.
  • Summarize this passage in 21 words or less.
  • Pray that our hearts would be prepared to receive and be submitted to the word of God on Sunday.
  • Click the links below to find the lyrics and recordings of the songs planned for our gathering this Sunday; learn the songs, study the lyrics and sing them with others.
  • Pray for those leading our corporate gathering this week and for the Holy Spirit’s work as the Word of God is further explained and applied: Dawson Bryant: music; Terry Engling: elder prayer & scripture reading; Dalton Vansell: teaching.
