Critically Think

• Read Exodus 26-27?
• Review Exodus 25. What three articles are described in the chapter? What does the Tabernacle teach us about how God is to be approached?
• What are the main structures described in chapters 26-27?
• Vs. 1-14 describe the curtain and covering structure of the Tabernacle. Pay attention to verse 1, 7, and 14. How many layers of covering are listed? What are some features that are distinct to each one?
• The framing of the Tabernacle is described in vs. 15-29. List the materials used and the practical purpose of these structures.
• What is the purpose of the veil described in verse 31?
• What will be inside the Holy of Holies and what will be in the outer room, the Holy Place, according to vs. 33-35?
• Chapter 27:1-8 describes the bronze alter. What is the purpose of an alter?

Prayerfully Meditate

• According to vs. 30 what did Moses receive on the mountain? In what form did he receive it (Visual, written, or verbal)?
• Read Hebrews 8:5. What does Hebrews tell us about the purpose of the design of the Tabernacle?
• Chapter 27:1-8 describes the bronze alter. What would the alter serve to teach the people theologically?
• 27:9-19 describes the court of the Tabernacle. Consider the three levels of the Tabernacle, The Court, The Holy Place, and the Holy of Holies. Who was allowed into the different areas of the Tabernacle and what does that teach us about how God is to be approached?

Intentionally Act

• Sumarize these chapters in 21 words or less. 
• What do you learn about God from these chapters?
