Our Resurrection Weekend services begin with our Good Friday Evening Gathering, March 29 at 7:00 pm, and conclude with our regular Sunday activities on Resurrection Sunday Morning, March 31!

Carefully Think

  • Read Matthew 12:38-42.
  • Sum up this passage's main idea in one sentence.
  • How does this passage fit specifically within Matthew 12?
  • Why would the scribes and Pharisees be seeking a sign?
  • Why does Jesus refer to Jonah?  Solomon?
  • What would his answer have indicated about the heart of the religious leaders?  In what ways were they failing to act as the people of Ninevah?

Prayerfully Meditate

  • What areas of life keep you from a right response to Christ?
  • How could a right understanding of the superiority of Christ help you encounter those times of unbelief??

Intentionally Act

  • How do you need to pray about your own heart as a result of reading this passage?
  • Pray for those who will be present Sunday who need to treasure Christ supremely. Pray God will give them a taste of the gospel that will cause them to embrace Christ genuinely.
  • Pray for Christians who will attend Sunday to be encouraged with their heart's affections for the things of God.
  • Pray for those who will be leading the service this Sunday: Dawson Bryant, music; Sam Karl, Elders' Prayer and Scripture Reading; Bret Capranica, teaching.
  • Listen to the songs we will sing this Sunday. Prepare yourself to sing with biblical claarity and heartfelt praise.
