Father,
We gathered as your Body, testifying to the power of your Gospel in bringing us together and fashioning us as one in Christ.
We pray for the spread and advance of the message of this Gospel, and for our courage and faithfulness in proclaiming it through this place and from this place to the uttermost parts of the world.
We ask that we, as singles, and as married couples, as widows, and widowers, fathers, mothers, and grandparents, sons, and daughters would be bold in lifting up our voices to worship you and proclaim yourGospel in our families, our social circles, our jobs, and in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. Draw others to the truth through our testimony of you in our everyday activities.
We thank you for the many comforts and conveniences that are ours, and the comparative great wealth that we enjoy. Give us delight in stewardship and generosity, and further the local, regional, and global proclamation of your Gospel through our generous and sacrificial giving.
We entreat you for our brothers and sisters in other parts of the world who face poverty and persecution. In their trials, difficulties, and even martyrdom, comfort their hearts, give them boldness to proclaim Christ, and amplify their testimony of living and dying for your Gospel.
Increase the witness and impact of the Gospel in Central Asia, where we know many of the workers who are laboring. Continue to make the way plain for Dalton Vansell and Brett Harris and their families, and our sisterchurch, Redemption Hill, as we seek to plant a church in Topeka.
We pray that from the midst of us you would raise up interest, desire, and increasing, unceasing prayer for missions. Would you bring forth from this Body individuals to go into global fields as missionaries?
Above all, as the Gospel goes forth, we pray that you would receive the glory in our Gospel desires, our sacrifices, our prayers, our going, and in the end result of that which you accomplish through us, as your faithful instruments.
This we pray in Christ’s name, Amen.
