Prayer based on the book of Ephesians, chapters 1-5.  

God our Father, 

We thank you and praise you for the grace and peace that we experience because of the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

We thank you for the forgiveness of our trespasses, redemption to be God’s own possession, the gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit who is leading us into all truth. 

Thank you, God of all glory for the privilege of being your own workmanship, created in our Lord Jesus Christ for good works that you have prepared us for us beforehand that we could walk in them to the praise of your glory. 

We praise you for your unfathomable wisdom for uniting us all together from various walks of life in Christ Jesus. 

We bow our knees before you our Father, from whom every family on earth derives its name, we beseech you that you would grant us to be strengthened with power through your Holy Spirit in the inner man that Christ may dwell in our hearts all of the days of our lives.  

We are looking forward to that day when we could lay everything at the feet of Christ and be filled with the fullness of God.  

Would you please graciously grant us wisdom to comprehend to the extent we could, the love of Christ that surpasses all knowledge. We pray that it will be evident in how our responses are rooted and grounded in love. 

Father, we thank you that in your Sovereign Wisdom, you have ordained that in our Christian Walk, we would be imitators of God in every area of our lives including marriage. 

We thank you for the privilege of embodying our Savior’s love and our response to His love in submission with the help of our Holy Spirit in our marital relationship. 

Father, I surrender every single Christian marriage represented in our membership at your feet. Please let there be no opportunity for reproach of Christ’s name in our marriages. May our Christian marriages be an exhibition of Christlike love, lived out with an attitude of respect and humility for the glory of God alone. 

Please bless all of the parents in our membership with wisdom from above to uniquely shepherd each of their children in love and admonition from the Word of God.  

Please bless all of our children with the fear of the Lord and a strong desire to please the Lord in everything. 

I lift up our most godly, handsome and gorgeous single adults in our midst.  As they seek to do your will, grant them undying trust in the Lord and protect them from the weapons of the enemy.  

I praise you for the righteous exemplary lives of all of our Senior Adults, married, unmarried and widowers. We thank you for their faithful and imitable godly lives.  

We are yours alone. Summit Woods is your church. Be magnified. 

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in Christ Jesus at Summit Woods Baptist Church and across all of the Churches of Jesus Christ in all generations forever and ever, Amen.
