Taken from Psalm 103:1-5
Dear Lord, we praise You this morning, help us to praise You with our whole being, our whole heart and mind, as David did. May those we encounter in our work, our neighborhood and even our homes, see in us an attitude of devotion and praise to You in all that we are.
Help us Lord to remind ourselves often and never forget what You have done for us. The underserved mercies and blessings You have given us. Most importantly, the precious gift of salvation You have given to us, through no good work or because of anything within us that would deserve such a gracious gift. As a matter of fact, You brought us to Yourself in spite of ourselves, in spite of our sin, You, for Your good pleasure, drew us close by the work of Your Spirit. For this, we praise Your holy name.
Lord, You have forgiven our sin and daily, Your Spirit works in our hearts to convict us of ways we forget You and disregard You, Your Spirit prompts us in these times to confess these offenses to You, thereby keeping us near You. For this we praise Your holy name.
We look forward to the day when all of our sickness, infirmities and even our tears will be gone forever, the day when we stand in Your eternal presence. For this we praise Your holy name.
By Your grace, You redeemed us from the pit we so rightly deserved and crowned us with Your lovingkindness and compassion. For this we praise Your holy name.
And Lord, in Your sovereignty and providence, You have satisfied us with good things. The things we needed, at the right place and the right time, to strengthen us, for Your glory and our good.
Lord, please this morning, cause us to come away from this gathering refreshed through Your word and our worship of You, in this place.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen
