Gracious and Loving Heavenly Father,
We thank you that you are ever faithful, and you cannot be otherwise - unlike us - inconsistent beings. While you are always same, we are never the same. We thank you for your long-suffering with us.
Father, we lift up several members of our Church family before you.
We pray for our godly and model senior citizens who have various illnesses, limitations, discouragements, loneliness, visible and invisible aches and pains. We pray for your divine healing touch upon them. We thank you for many who give their all to be here every Sunday, setting a model for us to follow when we reach those golden years.
We pray for Carol Voyles that you would help her recover well from the recent fall.
We pray for Sherry Mason that you would continue to strengthen her body to be a gospel witness to all around her.
We pray for Dwight and Vicki Spruill that you would encourage their souls and make them a living testimony of the truth that the joy of the Lord is indeed our strength.
We pray for Gary Dodd. Thank for you graciously extending his life in accordance with your will. Please continue to heal his body and prepare him for the upcoming procedures. We pray for good outcome from it all. We pray that you would use Gary’s undying faith in Christ Jesus in the midst of it all, to save his unsaved family members.
We pray for those who are going through various cancer treatments or have recently gone through: Brian Jackson, Dan Vansickle, Brenda Klockenga, Mark Gray, Nancy Brandell, Ravi Vallal and Elizabeth Clevenger’s Dad. We thank you for the lease of life you have graciously blessed them with. May they serve you and your people for the remainder of their days.
We pray for Carol Hurley and Matt Arnold – we thank you for their resiliency and faithfulness in the midst of chronic illnesses. Please help them, O Lord.
We pray for many who struggle with back pains, heart issues and several unnamed illnesses. We pray for your mercy, comfort, healing and quality of life for the reminder of our days for your glory alone.
We pray for the loving little boy Max, as he battles severe pneumonia and collapsed lung, please give doctors wisdom as to how to best care for him. Have mercy on his little body and heal him.
We pray for baby Eve Engle. We pray that you would graciously help her to breathe normal and well by your grace and be home with her parents and brother soon.
We pray for those who are home-bound, and watching our services online. We pray that you would graciously enable them to serve you and your people in whatever ways they can and glorify you through that.
We pray for all of the care takers in our midst. We pray that you would encourage their souls, strengthen their body and empower their wills as they sacrificially serve their family members. Please use their sacrifices to conform them to the image of our Savior.
Father, there are several more unmentioned names, and variety of needs tangible and intangible represented across our families. You know of it all. Please provide for us our daily needs and teach us always to rely on you, be dependent on you and not on anyone or anything else. We look forward to that day when we can fall prostrate before you and worship you in our glorified bodies!
Father, I also lift up several of our members and visitors in Armed Forces who will be deployed shortly to various places. We pray for your divine protection over them, their entire battalion and over all of their families. Please bring them back safely to us that we may continue to worship you as one family.
We offer this prayer, in the name of our Lord Jesus who can sympathize with our weaknesses, Amen.
