Heavenly Father, 

Thank you for our dear sister Emily’s example of obedience to the Word of God. Please bless Lucas and Emily and use them for your glory.  

Father, as your children, we come before You in awe of Your wisdom, seeking to ground our hearts in the glorious truths that our Lord Jesus Christ taught His Disciples.  

Please help us to remain poor in spirit, O Lord, completely dependent on Your grace for our salvation, sanctification and glorification. 

Please comfort us as we become more sensitive by your grace to our sins and deeply mourn over the times, we grieve you. 

Please continue to grant us grace that we might emulate our Lord’s Jesus’s spirit of meekness that yields to your will every time. 

Please create in us an everlasting and overwhelming hunger and thirst for righteousness, that we might be deeply satisfied by you alone. 

Please teach us to outdo one another in showing honor and expressing mercy, to reflect the pure heart, washed by the blood of the Lamb in our everyday motives, and be active peacemakers by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Loving Lord, even when facing opposition for doing what is right, please keep our hearts anchored in the joy of Your heavenly promise. 

Please help us to live intentionally as the salt of the earth and the light of the world, pointing to the eternal light of our Messiah. 

Please help us to live our lives in such a way that, even the unbelieving world would be drawn toward you and give glory to you. 

Please guard our hearts against any sin that destroy from within. Please root out all hidden anger, lust, and deception before they can take hold. Please deliver us from hypocrisy.  

Please let our speech be simple, honest, and true. Please help us to keep our eyes fixed on you and seek your approval alone.  

May your name be continually hallowed through our words and deeds. In the holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
