Elder's Prayer

Please find below the notes from the Elder's Prayer this past Sunday.

Eternal and Unchanging God,

We sing praises to You, our Father. There is no other name more deserving of exaltation than Your Holy Name.

We thank You for being kind and tender with us, healing our broken hearts and binding up our wounds.

We thank You LORD GOD for supporting the afflicted and bringing down the wicked to the ground.

Great are You, Lord and we praise You because You are abundant in Your strength. Your understanding is infinite. You counted the number of the stars and have given names to all of them because they are Your creation.

Please help us to keep a song of praise in our hearts and keep singing to the LORD with thanksgiving using all of the musical instruments at our disposal.

Father, in Your loving kindness You have been graciously providing for us all that we need. We thank You for that.

We thank You for taking pleasure in these unworthy slaves of Yours and beautifying these worthless, sin-afflicted, heavy laden beggars with salvation (Psalm 149:4).

Because of this undeserved salvation, we are looking forward to the greatest of all privileges – to be in your presence beholding Your glorious face, eternally, not because of anything we have done but because of what Your Son and our Lord Jesus Christ has accomplished by Your immeasurable grace and unfathomable love upon us.

We humble ourselves before Your throne and we worship You with thankful hearts.

(Psalm 150)

Praise the Lord!
Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty expanse.

Praise Him for His mighty deeds;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.

Praise Him with trumpet sound;
Praise Him with harp and lyre.

Praise Him with timbrel and dancing;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe.

Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!

Amen.
