Elder's Prayer

Please find below the notes from the Elder's Prayer this past Sunday.

Thanksgiving-Psalm 95:1-6

We come before You today, O Lord, as a people redeemed by the blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ-and for that we give thanks

We give thanks because we are clothed in robes of His righteousness-received by grace through faith

Hear our song of joy to You today, O Lord, the rock of our salvation.

We come into Your presence with thanksgiving, singing joyfully to You with psalms and hymns because You, O Lord, are our great God

You are a great King above all gods,

May this truth always be foremost in our minds when we are tempted with the anxieties and frustrations of the world-when the circumstances of our lives don’t go according to our desires

We need not be anxious because in Your hand are the depths of the earth, and the peaks of the mountains.

The sea is Yours, for it was You who made it,

Your hands formed the dry land.

We need not fear or be frustrated with the things of this earth because all things are Yours

May our songs of gratefulness never cease-may our hearts be satisfied with the richness of Christ

We worship and we bow down,

We kneel before You O Lord, our Maker-we give thanks to You this day.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory

We give thanks to You in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ
