The 2026 annual Summit Woods Preaching and Teaching Workshop will begin on Friday August 14, 6pm-9pm and conclude on Saturday August 15, 8:30am-5pm.

This is a FREE workshop to provide practical instruction on how to study a passage of Scripture with the aim of teaching it in a small group setting and/or preaching it to a congregation at large. Whether you desire to grow as a discipler who opens the Bible with confidence in what it says, long to be better equipped to teach your children scripture, hope to strengthen your preaching and sermon preparation process, desire to sharpen your skills as a Sunday School teacher for adults or children, wish to be better prepared to lead family worship in your home, or just want to get more out of your devotional studies, this workshop is for you!

Pastor Bret Capranica will be leading the main sessions and teaching the participants in light of his sermon study process. Other SWBC elders, staff, and members will be assisting throughout each session. We welcome anyone to attend who wants to learn to study and communicate God's Word effectively (men and women).

There will be three specific tracks from which you can choose in your registration. They are: 1) Bible Study 2) Small Group Teaching and 3) Preaching.

As an added element for those who wish to grow in their ability to preach, post-workshop assignments will be included with an opportunity to have a sermon evaluated by SWBC elders/staff.

Please invite any who may be interested or benefit from your church or the surrounding area. Registration is free, but space is limited, so be sure to sign up soon. Please prioritize attending the full workshop if you plan to attend. Materials will be sent out in advance so that participants can be best prepared for the sessions.

The worskshop will be held in the Fellowship Hall of Summit Woods Baptist Church. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided on Saturday.

You can register for the workshop HERE. We hope to see you there!
